A couple of mornings ago when I was praying for a very dear friend I had a vision about a howling wind.

I was looking out over the ocean and saw that the water was very turbulent and the waves were high. The WIND was HOWLING which sounded scary just like in the movies. The Lord spoke to me and asked “What emotions do these howls trigger in you?” I began to list them “fear, confusion, dread, anxiety…” The voice of the Lord commanded me “Speak to the storm!” So I began to pray and take authority over the demonic wind and the howling, commanding it to be silent. I rebuked the negative emotions that were being triggered as the Lord had commanded me. I commanded fear, confusion, dread, anxiety to be quiet in Jesus’ name. It didn’t stop immediately until at one point a holy anger began to rise up in me, soon followed by FAITH that welled up in me. LOUDLY I released my own SOUND against the sound (the howling) of the enemy until my sound totally deafened the enemy’s sound!

Mark 4:39 “And He arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm” When I finished praying I noticed that I could no longer hear the howling and only the beautiful SOUND of SILENCE remained. There was only the PEACE, the SHALOM of the Lord and it was the most beautiful sound of all!

During this intense encounter, I had to PERSEVERE in prayer and raise up my voice above the many voices of the enemy.

As believers in Christ Jesus whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life, it’s crucial for us to know we have absolute authority over the enemy and to rebuke his assignments against us. We need to recognize when we’re under attack; we need to DISCERN the spiritual atmosphere and what kind of attack is coming against us. This helps us to access the right tool of warfare to use against our enemy. We are living in specific times and seasons where as sons and daughters of the living God we NEED to know our identity in Christ, and not be intimidated and threatened into silence by the enemy. We need to fearlessly STAND our ground against every attack (Ephesians 6:14).

Regain Territories

There are territories that have been stolen from us and we have a responsibility to take them back. These territories come in the form of our marriage, our children, our relationships, our finances, our jobs, our health, our peace, our rest, our joy, and even our dreams. We must refuse to allow ourselves to be backed into a corner. We must stand and shout “STOP!” to the forces of darkness when they come at us, and they have to stop!

Some years ago a friend sent me a small book entitled “Devil, You Can’t Have My Husband” which had a huge impact on me at that time and taught me how to become a fierce warrior in EVERY circumstance. It taught me never to give up in the face of even the toughest adversity. I’m a lioness where my family is concerned and I’ll take on the gates of hell for them. I’m fierce in battle when it comes to my family and friends, and as those that know me well, I’m very protective of those I love and care about.

Releasing Our Sound

The howls are like the voices of the enemy sent to stop the train of transition that is taking us into our next season. They’ve been sent to confuse and bring doubt regarding WHAT GOD HAS SAID ABOUT US. Many are stuck, too afraid to move in any direction because of the confusion and fear of stepping out of God’s will. They cannot discern the voices, whether they are of the Lord’s or of the enemy. As I said to a friend this week God’s timing is perfect and we know if something is of Him or not because His word is saturated with PEACE. He is our Prince of Peace.

I sometimes get messages from people asking me to pray and seek a word from the Lord for direction and breakthrough. I can only agree to pray in agreement with you for revelation, discernment or wisdom. This is because I believe your sound is a unique INGREDIENT that is required to cause the shift that is needed for total breakthrough in your situation. This is what team ministry is about, as we see in the creation of the universe. Father, Son and Holy Spirit each had their unique role and sound and together they birthed forth creation. (Genesis 1:1-2; John 1:1-3).

You Have The ROAR

If the dogs know how to intimidate their opponents by growling and barking at them to cause fear, confusion and more, how much more for us that have the Lion of the Tribe of Judah on the inside of us. Let us not be too shy to open our mouths and release the ROAR and watch our enemy flee!

Sometimes when I speak to certain people they tell me how they have grown tired, discouraged and doubtful because of lengthy delays and defeats in their lives. I’ve heard the Lord say “You’ve received the promises, you’ve heard the prophet’s proclamations over you but you have not declared them over you”. You declare them by speaking them out with your mouths.

I’ve also heard the Spirit say “SPEAK OUT THE PROMISES OF GOD and DECLARE WHAT HE HAS SAID over your life.” This is a major KEY to counteract the assignments of the enemy. As believers we really need to grab a firm hold of this key which can bring great VICTORIES and major BREAKTHROUGHS when we get a hold of it.

Fight The Good Fight

I read this last night from Psalm 103:20 “Bless the LORD, ye His angels, that excel in strength, that do His commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His word.”

The angels of the Lord are standing by to carry out the Lord’s assignment as you release the WORD that He has decreed over you. What has He said about you that you need to prophesy over YOU? This is your weapon of warfare as it’s written in 1 Timothy 1:18 – “This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare”.

SPEAK out over you and declare… “Lord, You have said… You have decreed over me… I come into agreement with YOUR WORD spoken by the prophet and I release this word over me, in Jesus name. Lord, at the sound of my voice, may Your angels harken to bring forth my breakthrough, in Jesus name”. Keep declaring these promises and His word over you; keep calling forth your breakthrough until it manifests in the physical. God is not a man that He should lie, His word is “YES” and “AMEN”!!!

During this season of contending for your breakthrough, the enemy will try time and time again to get you to go back to fear and to doubt. Don’t come into agreement with him but counteract him by declaring “God has said… so I command you to be silent, in Jesus name.” He has no option but to obey!

Howling Dogs

When I was growing up in the Seychelles, situated off the east coast of Africa, my siblings and I were scared of the howling of dogs, especially during the night. This fear was instilled in us by the beliefs (superstitions) of our elders that when dogs howl, it meant “ghosts” were roaming in the area. We were also told that when dogs howl, someone was going to die because the spirit of death was roaming the community looking for a soul. The howling used to trigger much fear in me as a child. It also caused me to be fearful of the dark which eventually resulted in insomnia for many years. It also caused me to have a fear of death for the reasons I’ve just explained. Thank God I’m totally set free of all of that now.

Two nights ago I was privileged to catch a live feed of Apostle Ryan LeStrange teaching and ministering about cutting soul ties associated with ministry wounding. He had us pray, renounce, repent and cut the soul ties with the wounds. In my encounter this morning, as I was renouncing the negative emotions that came with the howling of the winds, the Lord clearly said to me “you need to also cut the soul ties associated with the emotions”. This was a revelation for me.

Dogs Are Being Exposed

As I was writing this I heard the Lord say “The dogs are being exposed!” In Psalm 59:6, it says “They return in evening, howling like dogs, and prowl around the city.”. The Passion Translation puts it like this: “After dark they come to spy, sneaking around the city, snarling, prowling like a pack of stray dogs in the night – 7 boiling over with rage, shouting out their curses, convinced that they’ll never get caught.” Everything that is hidden in darkness the Lord will bring into the light (1 Corinthians 4:5)

These vicious dogs will come to tear you apart and they intend to inflict the maximum wounding. Philippians 3:2 – “Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilation!” Some of them you know very well. They are slander, condemnation, accusation, discouragement, unworthiness to name but a few. You do not have to put up with their barking and howling. Raise up your volume and drown their voices with your PRAISES! Sometimes it’s all you need to do because praise is a powerful weapon. Psalm 71:8 “My mouth is filled with your praise, declaring your splendor all day long.” (NIV)

When speaking of Babylon, prophet Isaiah writes “Hyenas will inhabit her strongholds, jackals her luxurious palaces” (Isaiah 13:22). Strongholds in your minds are festering grounds for demonic dogs that will take residence if you entertain them for too long.

It says in Exodus 11:7 – “But against none of the children of Israel shall a dog move its tongue, against man or beast, that you may know that the Lord does make a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.” God is very protective of His children and He wants that we would all be free of the bondage of the harsh taskmasters that are sent to afflict us.

It’s time to reclaim your prime real estate and evict the squatters as soon as they are exposed. You need to change the locks and keys of your domain and learn new strategies to keep them out, beginning with repentance, forgiveness, renouncing and declaring BLESSINGS over your life. You don’t need to wait for a prophet to give you a word of breakthrough. Declare and prophesy your breakthrough. Fill your mouth with words of LIFE so you can eat of its fruits in your season (Proverbs 18:21).
