I feel the Lord wants me to share this.

Last night the Lord kept pressing upon my heart to pray particularly for my son who was supposed to leave for Singapore early this morning to board his ship (for work). My husband and I do always pray with him just before he leaves for the airport. However, the Holy Spirit gripped onto my heart strings last night with an urgency to pray and just wouldn’t let go so I obeyed. I fell asleep still praying. Shortly after 4 am, my son came to my room and woke me up. He’d gone to the bathroom, tripped and fell hitting his head against the wall and knocking himself out briefly. My husband took him to the emergency and he spent a couple of hours under observation. He’s home now and resting and obviously he’s unable to go to work, let alone catch a plane, but I know he’s going to be alright because I called and God answered!

The devil is a loser! He comes to kill, steal & destroy but Jesus has come to bring life and life abundantly (John 10:10).

Who knows what would have happened had I ignored the call to prayer? One of my favorite hymns is “What a friend we have in Jesus”. The first verse goes like this: “What a friend we have in Jesus, All our sins and griefs to bear! What a privilege to carry Everything to God in prayer! Oh, what peace we often forfeit, Oh, what needless pain we bear, All because we do not carry Everything to God in prayer!”

The fervent prayer of the righteous avails much. Let’s all learn to be ultra sensitive to the Holy Spirit, listen to His still voice & promptings and answer His call to prayer. OBEDIENCE SAVES!!!
