Recently someone sent me a request to pray for her teenager that has moved away from God and was persuing a path of rebellion. As I was replying to her message today, the Lord spoke clearly and said “Your children are coming home!”.
In the book of Luke chapter 15, Jesus spoke a parable about the prodigal son that took his inheritance and wasted it away. When a famine arose and he began to starve, he finally came to his senses (verse 17) and in realizing his huge mistake, said to himself (verses 18-19) “I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.”
We know how the parable ends… His father forgave him and gave him the biggest welcome of which he was so undeserving of.
Jesus was telling us this beautiful story of the great GRACE of our Heavenly Father. No matter what we have done, how far or deep we’ve fallen, His hand of grace is ALWAYS near to pull us onto His bosom of love and bring us home where we belong… in His loving arms.
Right now there are many that have fallen, some are so deep in muck and goo and they are wondering ‘will I every come out of this’? Will I ever be clean again? Can I ever be redeemed? A resounding ‘YES’… you can and you will! All you need to do is call out to the Father and say “My Daddy, forgive me. I WANT to come home! Please bring me home to You.”
Many of our sons and daughters are living a life of rebellion. Not all prodigals leave ‘home’. They may still live under the roofs of the family home, where many are there because of the love of their parents. They may still be in church, but their hearts have gone cold and are far away from God.
Many are following the ways of the world, indulging in the pleasures of the flesh and the lust of the eyes. They have made some wrong decisions and lost their way. They are no different from you and I, for we ALL were once lost but now are found by the Hand of Grace.
We have power and authority upon our lips waiting to be uttered. We can choose to be quiet or we can use our voice to call our prodigals home.
This morning the Lord gave me this simple strategy to call home our prodigal sons and daughters, and this is what He said:
“DECLARE: (Name) is coming home!”
Maybe you, who’s reading this, is the one needing to find your way home. You too can declare the same upon yourself. If you are struggling to break free from certain things that are holding you back from your freedom in Christ, you can prophesy over yourself.
Write down this simple declaration, then declare it with boldness and authority, and believe it! Make it your daily proclamation. The word of God says God calls things that are not as though they were. And we ought to do the same.
Romans 4:17: “God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did”
There’s power in declarations!
As you are declaring this, the Holy Spirit is going to begin to raise up a standard against the enemy and He’s going to break the shackles of the world that holds us and our children in captivity.
The hand of grace is bringing your sons and daughters home where they rightfully belong.
I decree today:
YOUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS ARE COMING HOME !!!
