(A word for the prophets) (Repost from 12th June 2019)

Remember the words of Jesus “A prophet is not without honour except in his own country and in his own house” (Matthew 13:58)

If you are a prophet, most likely you may already have, or will at some point in your lifetime, be dishonoured by the people in your own hometown, church, community or household. If it happened to Jesus, very likely it may just happen to you, if it hasn’t already.

Dishonour comes in different forms. They’ll roll out the red carpet and throw up a banquet to celebrate and honour the foreign prophet, but you (the local prophet) will most likely just receive a backroom handshake, or maybe not. They may just ignore you or disregard you just as soon as you have served your purpose, and they are done with you. They’ll take up the biggest love offering to honour the foreign prophet to support his/her ministry but you (the local prophet) will just receive a very quiet ‘thank you very much’ behind closed doors, then they’ll send you away packing, empty handed. They’ll even curse you as you leave!

Worst still, they’ll whisper behind your back, and say bad things about you (the local prophet), all in the name of the Lord, because they are so OFFENDED by the gifts and the anointing that are upon your life, which are some of the things the religious spirits hate with a vengeance. The prophet’s anointing in particular, poses a huge THREAT to the religious spirit, because it exposes the evil, corruption and wrong attitude of the heart of this particular spirit. If they hated Jesus, they would hate the TRUE sons and daughters of King Jesus, in whose name you come.

If you can relate to any of this, you’ve probably at least once been exposed to and experienced the viper’s sting.

So, here’s what the Lord dropped into my spirit this morning:

Those very same things that have been done against you: the dishonour, the rejections, the whisperings and the hurts that come with them, God will use them to PUSH you forward and ahead, to PROSPER and ELEVATE you to even HIGHER and GREATER realms of FAVOR and GLORY than you can ever fathom.

Forgive and keep going, as you shake the dust off your feet. You’re blessed and highly favoured by GOD and your REWARD is on its way. REJOICE!

FIGHT WISELY

Ephesians 6:10-13

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

Our enemies are not humans but demonic entities. This means we need to take the battle to the spiritual atmosphere and not attempt to war in the physical realm. Leviathan, Python, Antichrist, Religious, Absalom and Jezebel spirits are NOT too big for GOD and His host of angelic warriors to handle.

Zechariah 4:6 “Then he replied, “This is the word Yahweh spoke to Zerubbabel: You won’t succeed by might nor by power, but by my Ruach, says Yahweh Tsebaoth”

Be encouraged by the story of the EAGLE & THE SNAKE:

The Eagle does not fight the snake on the ground. It picks it up into the sky and changes the battle ground, and then it releases the snake into the sky.

The snake has no stamina, no power and no balance in the air. It is useless, weak and vulnerable unlike on the ground where it is powerful, wise and deadly.

Take your fight into the spiritual realm by PRAYING and when you are in the spiritual realm GOD takes over your battles.

Don’t fight the enemy in his comfort zone, change the battlegrounds like the Eagle and let God take charge through your earnest prayer.

You’ll be assured of clean victory.

A DEVOTION: FORGIVE & LOVE THEM ANYWAY

John 1:11

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

These were people from Jesus’ own tribe. If they did this to Him, it’s probably also happened or is happening to you. They’ll do practically everything for the foreigners, but they’ll ignore you, judge you, reject you, exclude you, falsely accuse you and even assassinate your character. Am I talking to somebody?

Jesus in Matthew 10:22 “you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved.”

Yes, it hurts and rightly so BUT you must rise above the pain of rejection, exclusion, judgment, false accusation and betrayal and LOVE them anyway. Keep blessing and humbling yourself. God will lift you up. He’s fighting this battle for you and is raising up those that will stand up for you, so don’t think you have to say or do anything. BE STILL.

Father,

I bless all those that have caused me pain through their actions towards me. I am not defined by how others treat me but by my love-relationship with You, in whom my identity is firmly rooted. And because of what You did for me when You nailed my sins upon the Cross, I choose to forgive those that have sinned against me. In Jesus’ precious name. Amen!
