I BELIEVE IN PRAYERS & IN MIRACLES

In May 2013, I boarded the city bus on my way to the Apple Store. In the strangest of way, God led me into the path of this young man who I was convinced was an angel in disguise (later I found out he had the same thought about me!).

Everything about our encounter seemed to have been divinely planned and I was reminded of the TV series “Touched by Angel”. The young man’s name was Andrew. Those who don’t know in the series, Andrew was the angel of death!

When I met my young friend, he was at the deepest of lows, depressed and jobless. He told me his family background was Persian and they believed in God but was not a church goer.

His fiancé had just broken up their engagement 2 months before their wedding and in the same week he was made redundant due to his company cutting down on staff. I began to pray for him regularly, and occasionally we messaged each other with me sending him words of encouragement.

About 6 months later, on November 26, he messaged me to say that since I last spoke to him he’d found a much better job, and was just about to finish building his first home. He was happier and at a much better place than he was in a long time. He reminded me of the encouragement I gave him back then, “What happened, happened for a reason. There’s light at the end of the tunnel and the best is yet to come”.

If you’re reading this post and you’re in a similar place that Andrew was once in, I want to encourage you with the same words I gave to him:

“WHAT HAPPENED, HAPPENED FOR A REASON. THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL AND THE BEST IS YET TO COME”

So keep looking up towards the Author and Finisher of your faith, the One who answers your prayers. Never EVER give up!
Be blessed.
